Our Results since the start of this project in 2004:
The installation of a water pumping and irrigation system that sends the water 150 feet up over a distance of 2,550 feet into a 14,000 gallon distribution tank, from where the water is distributed by gravity to irrigate the agriculture.
This water helps the agriculture development which then provides essential food for the families involved and for the neediest in the surrounding communities. Farmers from the community use assigned parts of the land to cultivate the crops needed to feed their families.
This water makes it possible to keep cattle for milk and beef production. The produced milk is shared especially with lactating mothers and other needed families at no cost. A planned infrastructure was created in preparing the land to accommodate the cattle.
The transportation problem caused by extreme difficulties in reaching isolated communities was resolved through a donation from the Netherlands of a 4×4 Mitsubishi truck that also serves as an very effective substitute for our donkey.
A lack of lodging for volunteers was solved by building a structure, now capable of hosting up to 16 people inside, 20 camping outdoors, and providing reasonable living conditions.
Volunteers from several countries help out in many ways starting with distribution of medicines, food and clothes, and providing professional services to the communities.
